When my dear and loving friend, Jim Ditkowsky, was kind enough to call me about the "Comments" section of the newly created class website, he said, "Write whatever has happened in your life since high school." Here is an abbreviated attempt, Jim:
From Niles West, I went to University of Illinois, roomed with Alan Alop. Was initiated into Phi Sigma Delta, roomed with Steve Hirschtick. Attended Loyola Dental School, Chicago, 1967-71. Was in the front line of the demonstrations on Michigan Avenue in front of the Conrad Hilton in 1968 (with Stan Goldfarb, Niles East, '64, and next to Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, among thousands of others) during the Democratic Convention when our Fraternity Brother Lyle Finerman jumped out of a National Guard Armored Personnel Carrier in full combat gear with a fixed bayonet which he pointed at us. I asked him to throw down his gun and chant "PEACE NOW" with us.
Lyle responded by pretending that he did not know us chanters...
After almost dying in JESUIT DENTAL SCHOOL PRISON, I was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1971, and was offered a scholarship and stipend to attend The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, to get an MPH degree (about which I first asked, "Miles Per Hour?") Master of Public Health, 1973. I did a traineeship teaching at Michigan, and got a phone call to join the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. RACED RIGHT AWAY TO SAN FRANCISCO in 1973 with wife Barbara (married in 1972 in a dual ceremony with my Dad, Louis Edward Steinberg, and his gal Ellen, by divorce judge Hyman Feldman--my Dad's pal from Marshall High School in Chicago in the Roaring Twenties, at the Picasso statue in downtown Chicago), Newborn son Benjamin Daniel Steinberg, and THE BEST DOG EVER, Yella (Golden Retriever) were included in the trip. Joined the faculty of University of California Medical Center, San Francisco.

Ray Green, a classmate who shared his house with us before Barbara and I moved to Ann Arbor, died all of a sudden . There was no diagnosis. It did not yet have a name. Shortly, it was named, THE GAY PLAGUE. Later, AIDS.
I designed Clinica Sierra Vista Dental Facility in Lamont, CA in 1976. It is still there if you would like to vist. Tell them Dr. Noel sent you.
Became a seminar leader and "Rebirther" in the Spiritual Enlightenment, Self Improvement, Human Potential, and Personal Growth field in 1977. Travelled the world doing workshops and seminars including an all day workshop on PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY.
Met Abubabaji in India.
Travelled alone into the Himalayas, lived alone in a small cave at the headwaters of Ganges, climbed a mountain, attained enlightenment, blah, blah, blah.
Came down from the Mountaintop, and went to Stanley Myron Goldfarb's house in San Rafael, CA. Stan and I were on the swim team at Niles West freshman year, but he was sent of to Niles East for sophomore year where they hold Apartied Reuinions for Trojans only.
Went to Los Angeles and lived next door to John Baruck (again, Niles West) while I pursued an acting career. Also founded and incorporated The Church of Infinite Perfection in California in 1976.
Met Mary Carlson, JD, who was an LA lawyer, defending Hugh Hefner and Richard Nixon at the time. She knew me only as an aspiring actor. I eventually invited her to come to India with me for good. Her father, also an attorney, wanted to have me killed. He failed.
In 1978, I named, and was a founding member/Honorary Secretary-Treasurer of the KELLY-BARUCK ANNUAL INVITATIONAL PEBBLE BEACH GOLF CLASSIC (Tom co-wrote LIKE A VIRGIN (Madonna) and many more, and Baruck is THE JOHN BARUCK of Niles West '64). In those days, the tourney entailed four championship rounds at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California. Winning the tournament in 1981 is my most memorable competitive athletic achievement.
Mary and I were married in India by His Holiness Abubabaji in 1980. Followed by the births of the three children listed above. We eventually designed and built a home on Babaji's estate above Ooty Lake in the Niligiri Mountains of Southern India in Ootacumund, Tamil Nadu, India.
When Ronald Reagan ordered the bombing of Libya in 1985, we moved to England, and may not return to India until the Jihad caused by that stupid ass Reagan is finally resolved in a hundred years or so.
We loved England. I remember Andrew, Adam and I gamboling in Blue Bell Woods near our home on The Green Belt between London and the English Channel. I played alot of golf there in Ingrave/Brentwood Forest.

New entry on March 10, 2016: All is well. I have been in a joyful and loving relationship with Susan Fournier for 17 fantastic years. I recently retired after 25 years as the Chief Dental Program Consultant for the State of California. I must proclaim that retirement is amazingly fun, liberating, and terrific.

Jim Ditkowsky inspired this writing by telling me: "You should write down, 'What has happened to you since high school', in the comments section of your PROFILE on the website:" As you, the reader of this material are aware, I have begun to respond to Jim's directive. If you are still interested in the chronology from 1986 to the present, please let me know, and I will go on with the writing or tell you the story at your pleasure. I did co-author a 516 page historical novel with our classmate Alan Alop. (THE BEST TEAM EVER, A Novel of America, Chicago, and the 1907 Cubs, by Alan Alop and Doc Noel)
