There are voters caught between impermeable walls of disinformation.  

We could wall off this virus if people cared enough to wear a face mask and social distance.  
There are people who don't wear a mask, but say they would if Trump asked them to.  
We are all tired of the virus, but the virus is not tired of us.
It's Trump who doesn't care: he prefers loud cheering crowds to being a leader and protecting our health.

Biden is gaining strength in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania - from Oshkosh to Scranton - rebuilding the (formidable) Blue Wall.

The plexiglass partitions were removed from the final presidential debate stage in Nashville after Trump and Biden both tested negative for COVID-19.

U.S. Mail bins full to over-flowing with undelivered ballots are mounded up to make walls in U.S. Post Offices, blocking the will of the American people in what is supposed to be a free and fair election.

Will Biden break through the red wall?

Businesses are boarding up, erecting walls for protection when the polls close.

We have the opportunity to elect a new president and break down the walls that divide us.

There are small cracks in the red wall refusing to acknowledge Joe Biden as President-elect.

Trump is hiding behind the walls.

The Republican wall of shame is standing strong.
There's more shame in Washington than state-by-state, where Republicans are demonstrating strength of character and integrity.

"To live through a pandemic," Albert Camus wrote, "is to be made to live as an exile. Lovers are parted from lovers, (grand)parents from children, families from their dead. And we are exiled from many things we enjoy: freedom of movement, the ability to eat out or swim at public pools ... "

The Roman Stoic Seneca wrote, "Events in the world by themselves do not make people suffer. The ideas we form about these events also matter. Our ideas filter what we experience. So, if through reflection, meditation, and reasoning we can change these filters, our experience of the world will alter."

We can, in effect, free ourselves from the sense of being caught behind walls in lockdown.

The biggest threat is inside the walls with us.

Finally Mitch McConnell acknowledged Joe Biden as President-elect
and Republicans (not Retrumplicans) have begun to echo "Congratulations" to Joe Biden.

A border-like wall has been built 'round the perimeter to protect the Capitol from insurrectionists.

Though loyalty to Trump runs deep,
finally, cracks are showing in his wall of support:
ten Republicans joined the Democrats in the House and voted for impeachment
(four Republicans didn't vote... where were they on January 6th?).  
Americans witnessed insurrection on Live TV in real time:   
we saw Trump's rally,    
and then with horror, saw the MAGA mob storm the Capitol.

Cracks are showing in McConnell's normally rock-solid wall of control of his conference.

McConnell himself is sending a mixed message, its meaning totally unclear. What is clear is that such messages do not get out without McConnell and the people around him wanting them out.

In a letter to colleagues, McConnell said he has not made a decision about how to vote on impeachment. Though he has not stated his support for Senate conviction, Senators who would vote to convict might find themselves pushing on an open door.

For Trump to be convicted, McConnell's support and encouragement for his conference to vote to convict is believed to be essential.
