The press corps too - they only asked Biden questions they could frame in a negative way, and even if the question they had prepared had already been answered, they repeated the same one (only) question they were prepared to ask. They were not prepared for Biden's passion about passing legislation on voting rights, even if that requires modification of the filibuster.
